Beyond the Door: Stage Play for Change

Tender Touch, Inc. believes that everyone can play a positive role in the community and in the health and welfare of their own communities through the arts. We also believe that self-employment, micro-enterprise opportunities, and a spiritual core can be a unifying force. With our play, as well as a dynamic speaking series, this play has been drawing crowds of people from across the community to watch hope in action.

And we need your help.

The stage play is driven by compassion to reach women and young adults who have been negatively impacted by poor decisions and challenging life experiences. Using powerful life stories that illustrate how someone can transform despite desperate and despairing circumstances is at the core of the play, Beyond the Door. The vision of the play is captured in the words…Changing Visions-Changing Lives-Changing Destiny. Proceeds from ticket sales will be used to expand this vital outreach and it's programs for formerly incarcerated women.

Tender Touch is in need of sponsorship support for its fundraising tool, the stage play Beyond the Door, in order to support its operational growth and programmatic expansion efforts. The agency needs to hire more staff in order to expand the prison ministry program; general operating support to hire two additional counselors; program expansion to take its leadership development curriculum into schools, churches and communities; and program support to obtain training materials and uniforms for the Tender Touch Janitorial program.
